Borgy Torre

Borgy Torre began his career as a film editor and assistant director. At the age of 21, he directed his first short indie film, Bonsai – which garnered for him the Best Asian Film Award in Tokyo in 2001, as well as Best Short Film at the 2009 Cinemalaya. The following year he directed his next short film, Despedida. Both visual creations have been screened in Pusan, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.

Torre unleashed from his assistant director stints to take on the visual helm for TVC, Andok’s WINGS. In his first year alone in the advertising industry, his works reeled in Silver and Bronze at Araw Awards 2011. Borgy’s boyish charm and amiable accent has him climbing the ranks as one of the most sought-after directors in the country.
